Goole
By Craig Bone
Vikings lose by 1 point in top of the table clash.
Vikings started the better but couldn’t put any points on the board, Indiscipline cost Vikings dearly going in 14-7 at half time with a great team try scored by skipper Rossol converted by Rowley.
Goole started very well scoring 2 quick tries within 5 minutes of each and a penalty giving them a lead of 22 points.
Scarborough lead by Rossol and scrum half Rowley, who were just brilliant all afternoon – an amazing comeback.
Fly half Alex Conlin, a brave try from Hooker Jordan Day and Winger Tom Anderson scoring tries, conversions by Rowley – the amazing crowd backing the Vikings was brilliant. But the final whistle gave Goole a one point win.
Great game played by two very well-matched sides.
MOM scrum half Alex Rowley was just excellent all afternoon, with Rossol, Emsley also having standout games.
Coach Bone “We showed amazing heart and character and never-say-die attitude was there for everyone to see”
