Driffield Cents

L 36-12

Scarborough - Vikings

By Craig Bone

Vikings were on the road this weekend playing at Kelleythorpe against Driffield 3rds.

Vikings held a very competitive Driffield side for the first half, with captain Andy Rossol scoring in the first half converted by Dan Brookman – going 14-7 behind.

With lots of forced changes in the second half, Vikings could only score through a Tom Read try.

In the second half, Driffield played to their strengths and played some good rugby scoring a few tries later on in the game.

Discipline was much better in the second half, Vikings couldn’t turn huge effort and lots of heart into points.

James Emsley was again very good in the three different positions he played, Captain Rossol was Man of the Match with his tireless work rate again in 2 different positions.

The break will give Vikings a well deserved break, and all refreshed for our next game on the 17th November against Hull University.
