L 52-38

Scarborough - Vikings

By Craig Bone

Vikings went away to Beverley with a full squad of 18 players and a full front row replacement

Game was a fast flowing affair from start to finish, Beverley had a lot of young lads playing for them which bodes well for the future.

Beverley scored most of there tries from unforced errors from the Vikings, Vikings played some wonderful team rugby scoring tries from Marcus Paddock grabbing a brace and his brother Alex getting one, Zac Metcalf and Nathan Spink went in for good tries both created by Nick Lovering, skipper Rowley kicking 3 conversions the stability of the Vikings brilliant scrums getting a penalty try just after half time, for Beverley to go to uncontested which gave them parity at the set piece.

The game finishing 52-38 in favour of the home side.

Stand out performances where Nick Lovering in the forwards and Skipper Alex Rowley in the backs who tirelessly tried to keep the Vikings on the front foot.

We just need to dust ourselves down and go to Hullensians next week and put a 80 minutes performance in which is just round the corner.
